Remember Shea Butter is firm in consistency but melts to your body warmth.  Use sparingly. 
If the butter is left in the heat it will melt, just put in a cool room to solidify again.

Shea butter (Unrefined): A solid fatty oil made from the nuts of Karite nut trees of West and Central Africa. Shea Butter soothes, moisturizes and protects.  Shea butter does not rob the skin of its natural oils and may help stimulate collagen production to alleviate wrinkles, scars and burns.
